PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor - £350

PADI Open Water Scuba InstructorThe OWSI course lasts for 4 days and builds on the knowledge and skills you developed during your Assistant Instructor course to arm you with additional methods of teaching. You'll learn to teach prescriptively, and you'll fine-tune the knowledge of the PADI system with an introduction to teaching continuing education courses, a workshop on diver rescue, and more.

Prerequisites:

PADI Assistant Instructor rating or qualifying instructor certification, certified diver for at least six months, with at least 60 logged dives, proof of CPR and first aid training within the last 24 months. Please note candidates must have a minimum of 100 logged dives to become a PADI Instructor, to sit the PADI Instructor Exam.

What you’ll do:

  • Self-study - knowledge reviews and development sessions, candidate presentations and workshops.
  • Confined water - skills review and assessment, workshops and candidate presentations
  • Open water - workshops, rescue assessment and presentations

At satisfactory completion of your OWSI course, you'll qualify to attend the Instructor Examination - a two-day evaluation conducted by PADI office staff where you'll be examined on your dive theory knowledge and classroom, confined water and open water teaching presentation as well as diver rescue.
