| | Nitrox Diver Course | |
| By Alex Varnals onThursday, April 17, 2008 8:16 PM | |
| Well done to all the guys who completed their Nitrox course at the dive centre this evening. The guys had different reasons for completing the course, from wanting to dive at Altitude in America and for diving longer on wrecks in the UK. If you don't know much about Nitrox, this course specifically relates to Oxygen Enriched Air, which allows the diver to reduce the nitrogen loading during a dive and subsequently extend their no-decompression limits. For more information come to the centre and discuss this program with our PADI professionals in store. The next Nitrox Course is on the 13th May 2008. | | |

| | Open Water and Drysuit Orientation | |
| By Alex Varnals onSaturday, April 12, 2008 8:25 PM | |
| Today was a long day where the students and staff worked really hard. The day started with a long pool session (4hrs) where we developed the students final skills of the PADI open water diver course. After the students had mastered all the skills we ran through a drysuit orientation (DSO). The DSO is designed to give a diver the opportunity to experience the buoyancy characteristics of a drysuit before going to open water for the first time. If you would like to have a splash in a drysuit why not give the centre a call and see when our next drysuit orientation is in the pool and if you enjoy the session why not treat yourself to the PADI Drysuit Specaitly. | | |

| | Pool Session | |
| By Alex Varnals onWednesday, March 19, 2008 8:07 PM | |
| The pool session this evening consisted of Divemaster Skill Circuits,
Drysuit Orientations and a Discover Scuba Diving experience.
Mike ran the Divemaster session and as it was a mixture of experiences
the session focused on a teaching the students new demonstration
techniques to help improve their abilities.
Lisa conducted the Discover Scuba Diving with Michelle, who has now
decided to complete her PADI Open Water diver course with us here at
Diving Leisure Leeds.
Alex and Andrew were put through their paces in working with dry suits
for the first time. With fin pivots and hovers being the focus of
this session. It was also an opportunity for the guys to practice
removing their BCD and weight belt at the surface in a dry suit with
gloves on, not an easy task the first time you do it...
If you would like to come along to one of our pool sessions, simply contact Alex or Kat at the ...

| | NEW Filtration System has arrived | |
| By Alex Varnals onMonday, February 25, 2008 6:45 PM | |
| |
We have just received a NEW Filtration System for our current compressor. This new filtration system is big. Really big. For the techies out there, it will be able to filter upto 2 million litres of air before changing the filters... Thats alot of gas. It will also mean that ALL the gas we will pumping is oxygen compatible and sqeaky clean. For those of you really interested in small technical details we have a 300 bar whip, however we will only be running the compressor to around 250 - 260 bar for the moment. The compressor will be pumping upto 300 bar (plus) by Autumn 2008 if there is demand for it. Let us know if you require 300 bar fills.
